ROUND 8 - SAHASRARA SURYA NAMASKAARA

Acts on the hypothalamus, central nervous system. This one marks an end to the 'A SERIES' of Surya Namaskaara's. 

1. PRANAMAASAN

INHALE AND EXHALE. Hands at the centre of the chest.



2. SAHASRARA HASTA UTTANASAN

INHALE. Keep arms wider than the shoulders. Incline trunk at an angle of 20 degrees.. this too gradually, no hurry or you will hurt your back... take it a few degrees at a time.



3. SAHASRARA PADHA HASTAASAN

EXHALE. Freely bend forward, bend knees if necessary.



4. SAHASRARA ASWA SANCHAALANAASAN


INHALE. One leg back, hands up and look up

5. SAHASRARA ARDHA SWAANASAN

EXHALE. Bring the leg forward join them and bend forward touching your head to the ground.  Thighs perpendicular to the ground.



6. SAHASRARA ARDHA SWAANASAN

HOLD BREATH. Thighs at an angle of 45 degrees, and head down touching the ground.




7. SHALABHAASAN

INHALE. Lift chest and legs up. Clasp hands at the back, but if you think you might lose balance keep them as in the pic, to your sides.



8. PARVATAASAN


EXHALE. Feet apart and flat on the ground.


9. SAHASRARA ASWA SANCHAALANAASAN

INHALE. With the opposite leg.




10. SAHASRARA PADHA HASTAASAN

EXHALE.





11. SAHASRARA HASTA UTTANAASAN

INHALE.



12.  PRANAMAASAN

EXHALE.

AGNA SURYA NAMASKAARA

ROUND-7 AGNA SURYA NAMASKAARA
    
Welcome to the beautiful site of a mango grove.


This acts on the frontal cortices. 

1. AGNA PRANAMAASAN

 The JAMES BOND pose , with no class and no style, and 2 hands and standing straight. Damnn, i wish we could the James Bond thing. Or just maybe join your hands so it looks like a toy gun. πŸ˜›πŸ”«
Then INHALE AND EXHALE.




2. AGNA HASTA UTTANAASAN

INHALE.
Incline your trunk at 10 degrees, push waist forward. Look up.




3. AGNA PAADHA HASTASANA

EXHALE. Touch the ground, or try touching, and the same time make an effort to touch your head to your knees. Little effort everyday is good. πŸ‘Œ




4. AGNA ASHWA SANCHAALANAASAN

INHALE. One leg back, and one leg in the front, hands up and head up.



5. AGNA CHATURANGAASAN

EXHALE. Now, change your hands into a semi clasped pose, more like a toy gun broken in half, so you can put them flat on the ground. And feel the weight on your ankles.


6. SASTANGA AASAN

HOLD YOUR BREATH.



7. AGNA BUJHANGAASAN

INHALE. Lift chest up, elbows on the floor, chin up.



8. AGNA PARVATAASAN

EXHALE. Hands semi clasped. Make an effort to touch your head to the ground.



9. AGNA ASHWA SANCHAALANAASAN


EXHALE. Using the opposite leg.


10. AGNA PAADHA HASTAASAN

EXHALE.



11. AGNA HASTA UTTHANAASAN

INHALE.



12. PRANAAM AASAN

EXHALE.

VISHUDHI SURYA NAMASKAARA

ROUND 6 - VISHUDHI SURYA NAMASKAARA

This is like a rapid fire round. More like 'A post a day keeps the doctor away' πŸ˜‚ until I finish it this weekend.

This acts on the Thyroid and parathyroid glands.

1. VISHUDHI PRANAAMAASAN

INHALE AND EXHALE. Hands clasped at the throat.



2. VISHUDDHI HASTA UTTANAASAN

INHALE. Incline trunk at an angle of 5ΒΊ .




3. VISHUDHI PADHA HASTAASAN

EXHALE. Palms facing downward.




4. VISHUDHI ASHWA SANCHAALAASAN

INHALE. Push waist forward and hands above head, clasped. 


5. VISHUDHI CHATURANGAASAN

EXHALE. Take the foot in the front back from the previous posture to this posture. Weight on the ankles.



6. VISHUDHI ARDHA SWAANASAN

HOLD BREATH. Forehead down.


7.  VISHUDHI BHUJANG AASAN

INHALE. Lift chest up palms on the floor.




8. PARVATAASAN

EXHALE. Lift waist up, palms clasped and still on the floor.



9. VISHUDHI CHATURANGA AASAN

INHALE. Use the opposite leg.


10. VISHUDHI PAADHA HASTAASAN

EXHALE. 

11. VISHUDHI HASTA UTTHANAASAN

INHALE. Incline trunk at 5 degrees.




12. PRANAAMAASAN

AND ON EXHALATION bring hands to the front of your throat.

ANHATA SURYA NAMASKAARA

     ROUND 5 - ANHATA SURYA NAMASKAARA

  Works on the cardiovascular and respiratory system.

  I really worked hard last week to finish these up because my photographer plus friend plus junior is all about perfection.. And only when it comes to me though and I am glad 😊



Warning again : VERTIGO PATIENTS do not do this. ⚠

1. PRANAMAASAN

INHALE AND EXHALE. Clasp you hands like in the pic and keep them at the centre of the chest. Palms facing outward.




2. UTTANAASAN


INHALE. Raise your hands and bring them to the back of your neck, pushing the neck against the back of your hands.



3. PADDHA HASTAASANA


EXHALE. Bend forward and bring your head closer to your knees in an effort to touch them to your knees. Take it slowly.
Take your hand behind and then clasp them and drop them freely forward as far as they can go.

4. ASHWA SANCHAALANAASAN

INHALE. Any one leg back, pull the hands down at the back. and waist forward.



5. CHATURANGAASAN

EXHALE. Bring the clasped hands to the front, and take the other foot back and stay in a plank. The weight should be felt at the ankles not on the arms.



6. ARDHA SWAANASAN

HOLD YOUR BREATH.



7. BUJHANG AASAN

INHALE. Just lift your chest up and look up at .. anything.. just look up. 😁⛅



8. PARVAT AASAN

EXHALE.



8. ASHWA SANCHAALANAASAN

INHALE. Use the opposite leg, same posture as the 4th.



9. PADDHA HASTAASANA

EXHALE. Repeat... boring but its a cycle, so have to repeat it.


10. UTTHANAASAN

INHALE. 


11. PRANAAMAASAN 

ON EXHALATION hands back to the chest.
